Bowdoin College Polar Bears Women’s Lacrosse Camp

The Bowdoin College Polar Bears Women’s Lacrosse Camp is a high-level training program for high school girls in grades 9 to 12. It is an opportunity to experience coaching from top Division I, II, and III lacrosse coaches. The program is also set to have a 7:1 staff to camper ratio to ensure individual attention to every participant. Furthermore, the objective of this training camp is to provide the participants with the best lacrosse fundamentals as well as tactical understanding. Goalkeepers will also have their own skill specific development sessions. This program will take place at the Bowdoin College campus.

Bowdoin College is a private coeducational college in Brunswick, Maine. It is a member of the Annapolis Group as well as the Oberlin Group. The college is 6th in the National Liberal Arts Colleges, 2017 rankings. It is also 13th in the Best Value Schools rankings. Currently, it accommodates around 1,700 undergraduate students with a 50 percent male and 50 percent female students gender distribution. Meanwhile, the college’s student to faculty ratio is 9 is to 1. Bowdoin College is 3rd in National Liberal Arts Colleges of the 2018 US News and World Reports Best Colleges rankings. They are also 13th in the Best Undergraduate Teaching category. Moreover, the college has 30 intercollegiate sports teams. They are competing in the New England Small College Athletic Conference, a Division III of the National Collegiate Athletics Association. They call themselves the Polar Bears and black and white are their identity colors.

 

Bowdoin College Polar Bears Women’s Lacrosse Camp Organizers

The head coach of the Bowdoin College Polar Bears women’s lacrosse team is Elizabeth Grote, a native of Simsbury, Connecticut. She is now in her 15th year at the reins of the college’s women’s lacrosse program. In addition, Coach Grote is the 2005 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association New England Coach of the Year. She is also a 2-time  Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III West Region Coach of the Year and a 2-time North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Then, the Polar Bears women’s lacrosse assistant coaches are Paula Habel and Katie Hawke.
