Adelphi University Panthers Men’s Lacrosse Prospect Camp

Join the Adelphi University Panthers Men’s Lacrosse Prospect Camp. It is a fast-paced and high-level training program that will run from 12:30 PM until 5:00 PM on the 1st of November. The venue of this lacrosse prospect camp is the state of the art Motamed Field, the home of the Adelphi University Panthers soccer and lacrosse teams. Moreover, this full-day training program includes skill development drills, competitive games, question and answer session with the coaching staff, and a campus tour. The camp registration cost is $125 per camper. It is important to note that participants need to bring their own lacrosse stick, gears, and equipment. Furthermore, this full-day lacrosse prospect camp is open to all high school male lacrosse players with a strong desire to play at the elite collegiate level.

Adelphi University is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian university in Garden City, New York. It is Long Island’s oldest university. The university is a member of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) and the University and College Accountability Network (U-CAN). Furthermore, Adelphi University is staying consistent with its academic excellence. In fact, Adelphi University is at 92nd in the Washington Monthly rankings. It is 151st in National Universities category of the 2018 edition of the US News and World Reports Best Colleges rankings. Currently, the university is serving around 5,200 undergraduate students. Its undergraduate student population has a 31 percent male and 69 percent female students gender distribution. This undergraduate student population is also through a selective enrollment acceptance rate of 70 percent. The university is also accommodating around 2,700 postgraduate students. Correspondingly, the university’s student to faculty ratio is 12:1. Meanwhile, in sports, Adelphi University fields 23 intercollegiate men’s and women’s teams in the Northeast 10 Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II. The university athletes’ nickname is Panthers and brown and gold are their identity colors. The Adelphi Panthers women’s lacrosse team has already eight National titles.


Adelphi University Panthers Men’s Lacrosse Prospect Camp Organizers

Head Coach Gordon Purdie is leading the Adelphi University men’s lacrosse team since July of 2007. He is at the same time the university’s Assistant Athletic Director. He is the 1997 New York Metropolitan Lacrosse Association High School Coach of the Year awardee. Additionally, Coach Gordon Purdie is also an inductee into the Adelphi Athletic Hall of Fame. Under his leadership, the Panthers has already three Northeast-10 Tournament titles and five NCAA Tournament appearances. Coach Gordon Purdie is an alumnus of the Adelphi University. Then, the team’s associate head coach is Joe Catalanotti. He is now in his seventh season with the Panthers lacrosse coaching staff. Coach Joe Catalanotti is a St. John’s University graduate. He is the 2005 East Coast Conference Coach of the Year awardee. The team’s assistant lacrosse coaches are Michael Draper, Mike McGowan, and Steve Denapoli. Coach Michael Draper is a bachelor’s degree in education graduate from SUNY Cortland. He is also a master’s degree in education graduate from Hofstra University. Meanwhile, Coach Steve Denapoli an alumnus of Hofstra University is now in his second season with the coaching staff. He is part of the CAA Second Team selection. Finally, the director of lacrosse operations is James Canner.
