Colby College Mules Men’s Lacrosse Prospect Day Camp

The Colby College Mules Men’s Lacrosse Prospect Day Camp will be on the 29th of April from 9 o’clock in the morning until 3 o’clock in the afternoon. This camp is going to replicate a collegiate level training environment.  It is going to take place at the beautiful Colby College campus. In addition, this one-day training program is open to all high school boys with great aspirations about playing at the college level. It will prove an opportunity to showcase excellent lacrosse skills in front of the college’s recruiting staff. This training program also includes a question and answer session with the Colby College Mules men’s lacrosse coaching staff and current players. Overall, the training experience will be physically demanding but fun and motivational. The participants need to bring their own lacrosse gears and equipment.

Colby College, originally Maine Literary and Theological Institution, is a private, coeducational, liberal arts college in Waterville, Maine. Its name is in honor of Gardner Colby, a prominent 19th-century Christian philanthropist. It is a member of the Annapolis Group and the Oberlin Group. Colby College is one of the nation’s oldest liberal arts colleges. Moreover, the college is offering 58 major and 35 minor fields of study. It is among the nation’s top-tier academic institutions. As a matter of fact, Colby College is 61st in the Forbes Magazine’s List of America’s Best Colleges rankings, 2017 edition. Also, in the 2018 edition of the US News and World Reports Best Colleges rankings, Colby College is 12th in National Liberal Arts Colleges and 20th in the Best Undergraduate Teaching category. Presently, Colby College is serving more or less 2,100 undergraduate students. 48 percent of this undergraduate student population are male students and 52 percent are female students. This undergraduate student population is through a selective enrollment acceptance rate of just 19 percent. In sports, Colby College is participating in the New England Small College Athletic Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III. The athletes’ nickname is Mules and Colby blue and Priscilla gray are their identity colors.

 

Colby College Mules Men’s Lacrosse Prospect Day Camp Organizers

Leading the Colby College Mules men’s lacrosse team is Head Coach Guy Van Arsdale. The Hobart College alumnus is now in his second year at the helm of the Mules men’s lacrosse program. Coach Guy Van Arsdale is a two-time Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Coach of the Year awardee. He is also an Empire Athletic Association (EAA) Coach of the Year. Additionally, Coach Guy Van Arsdale is an inductee into the Hobart Athletics Hall of Fame, the  Western New York Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame, and the Geneva (N.Y.) Sports Hall of Fame. Then, the Colby Mules men’s lacrosse assistant coaches are Ryan O’Hagan and Casey Dowd. Coach Ryan O’Hagan, a Canisius College graduate, is now in his second season with the coaching staff. He is the former Mercyhurst University assistant coach. Coach Ryan O’Hagan is a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference First Team selection during his collegiate playing years. Finally, Coach Casey Dowd, a former Rochester Rattler, is also in his second year with the coaching staff. Coach Casey Dowd is an alumnus of Siena College.
