The design of the Franciscan University of Steubenville Lady Barons Lacrosse Camp gears on helping every play achieve their maximum potential. It is a three-day event that will run from 9:00 AM on the 11th of June until 12:00 PM on the 13th of June. The training program is open to all high school girls in the 5th to 8th grade. This camp is ideal for those who are serious about learning lacrosse fundamentals and improving their skills. Furthermore, it is going to take place at the scenic Franciscan University of Steubenville campus. The training is going to be under the supervision of the Franciscan University Lady Barons lacrosse coaching staff. Limited spots are available thus registration is a first come first serve basis. In addition, this event is requiring all its participants to bring their own lacrosse stick, gears, and equipment.
The Franciscan University of Steubenville is a private, coeducational, Catholic university in Steubenville, Ohio. Maura Conant, a native of Stirling, New Jersey, is leading the Franciscan University of Steubenville Lady Barons lacrosse team. She is now in her sixth year at the helm of the Lady Barons lacrosse program. Coach Maura Conant is a bachelor’s degree in history and master’s degree in counseling graduate from Franciscan University. Additionally, she is former physical education teacher for grades K-12 at the Koinonia Academy. Coach Maura Conant guided the Lady Barons to its fifth straight Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic award. Ultimately, under Coach Conant’s leadership, the Lady Barons lacrosse team won the 2017 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Showcase. In 2016, she coached the Lady Barons to the new program’s win record. Then, the Lady Barons assistant lacrosse coach is Emily Loot and Catherine Cahill. Coach Emily Loot is now in her fifth year with the Franciscan University of Steubenville Lady Barons lacrosse coaching staff. Meanwhile, Coach Catherine Cahill is a Franciscan University of Steubenville alumni with a bachelors degree in biology. She is entering her first year with the coaching staff. The university’s women’s lacrosse manager is Lucia Westrick. And finally, Mary Krolicki, Treise McCarthy, and Bridget Clune are the team captains.
