The Furman University Men’s Lacrosse Houston Prospect Camp will take place at the Strake Jesuit High School in Houston, Texas. It is inviting all boys in grade 9 up to grade 12 who aspire to play at the college level. There are only 72 spots available. Thus, registration is on a first come first serve basis. Furthermore, this lacrosse prospect camp will fall on December 17. It will run from 8 o’clock in the morning until 2 o’clock in the afternoon. In addition, the program will also allow the participants to experience a day of college-level training and competition. It will under the supervision of the Furman University men’s lacrosse coaching staff.
Furman University, originally Furman Academy and Theological Institution, is a private, coeducational, liberal arts university in Greenville, South Carolina. It is the oldest learning institution in the state of South Carolina. Its name is in honor of Richard Furman, a Baptist Church Pastor. The university is an affiliation of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. Moreover, it is also part of the Annapolis Group and the Oberlin Group. Furman University is 53rd in the National Liberal Arts Colleges, 2017 edition of the US News and World Reports’ Best Colleges rankings. Currently, the Furman University accommodates around 2,700 undergraduate students. It also has 20 intercollegiate teams. They call themselves the Paladins. And, they are competing in the Southern Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 1. Purple and white are the university’s identity colors.

Richie Meade, a native of Williston Park, New York, is the head coach of the Furman Paladins men’s lacrosse team since its inaugural year. Coach Meade is the 2004 Morris Touchstone Memorial Award’s National Coach of the Year. He is also a two-time Patriot League Coach of the Year. Then, the Paladins associate head coach is Andrew Athens. Patrick Emmer and Trey Tuten are the assistant coaches and Kirk Rogers is the volunteer assistant coach. Finally, Dawn McCollum is the department assistant.
