The Randolph Macon College Yellow Jackets Men’s Lacrosse Showcase is going to fall on the 6th of January. It is inviting all advanced level high school male lacrosse players in the graduating classes of 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. This event is especially for those who are aspiring to play lacrosse at the collegiate level. In addition, the program focuses on enhancing the participants’ overall skills. There will also be competitive 10 vs 10 games that will allow the players to showcase their exceptional skills. Coaches from other top colleges and universities are also attending this lacrosse showcase. Furthermore, available spots are limited thus registration is on a first come first served basis. The players are also required to bring their own lacrosse stick, mouth guard, goggles, cleats/sneakers, and water bottle. It is going to be a fun and physically demanding training experience.

In sports, Randolph Macon College’s men’s and women’s athletics teams are playing in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III as the Yellow Jackets. Leading the Randolph Macon College Yellow Jackets men’s lacrosse team is Head Coach J.B. Sheridan. He is now in his sixth season at the helm of the Yellow Jackets men’s lacrosse program. Coach J.B. Sheridan is a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design graduate from Salisbury University. He is also a Master of Education Degree in Athletic Administration and Leadership graduate from Goucher College. Additionally, Coach Sheridan is the recipient of the 2006 Salisbury University Athletic Department Academic Achievement Award. Coach Sheridan is a former member of the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) Advisory Committee. Then, the Yellow Jackets assistant men’s lacrosse coaches are Michael Sullinger and Tim Rowe. Coach Michael Sullinger, a native of Brookfield, Connecticut, is in his first season with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree in sports and leisure management with a concentration in sports performance graduate from Eastern Connecticut State University. Coach Sullinger was a top-notch college lacrosse player. In fact, he is a two-time Little West Conference assist leader. Finally, the Yellow Jackets student assistant coach is Alex Caltrider.
