The St. John Fisher College Cardinals Men’s Lacrosse Prospect Camp is an advanced lacrosse training program that will fall on the 28th of January. It is inviting all and any male lacrosse players in the graduating classes of 2018, 2019, and 2020. This event is going to take place at the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Athletic Center Field House or Growney Stadium, both state of the art facilities. In addition, this lacrosse prospect camp is set to start at 9:30 AM and end at 2:00 PM. It is only offering 66 available camper spots. Thus, registration is on a first come first served basis. The camp registration fee is $135 per camper. This training program is an initiative of the St. John Fisher College Cardinals men’s lacrosse coaching staff. Overall, it will be a challenging but fun training experience.
St. John Fisher College is a private, coeducational, liberal art college in Pittsford, New York. It comprises five departments. Namely, they are the School of Arts and Sciences, the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education, the School of Business, the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, and the Wegmans School of Nursing. Overall, the college has an accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Currently, the institution is serving around 2,800 undergraduate students. 40 percent of this undergraduate student population are male students and 60 percent are female students. This undergraduate student population is through a selective enrollment acceptance rate of 65 percent. The university is also serving around 1,000 postgraduate students. Furthermore, St. John Fisher College is 145th in National Universities of the 2018 US News and World Reports rankings. It is also 94th in the Best Colleges for Veterans rankings and 37th in the Best Value Schools category. In sports, St. John Fisher College is competing in the Eastern College Athletic Conference, the Empire 8, and the Liberty League of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III. They are known as the Cardinals and their official colors are gold and cardinal red.
St. John Fisher College Cardinals Men’s Lacrosse Prospect Camp Organizers
Head Coach Dave Dobbins is leading the St. John Fisher College Cardinals men’s lacrosse team. He is the team’s former associate head coach. Coach Dave Dobbins is an alumnus of Colgate University. In just his first season at the head coaching role, Coach Dave Dobbins led the St. John Fisher College Cardinals to a second seed finish and an Empire 8 Championship appearance. Additionally, Coach Dobbins is the 2005 Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) Division III Outstanding Assistant Coach of the Year awardee. He is at the same time the East Coast Director of 3d Lacrosse. Then, the Cardinals men’s lacrosse assistant coaches are Craig Whipple, John Maloney, Mark Rice, Randy Garrett, and Jeff Schwartz. Coach Craig Whipple, a native of Rochester, New York, is a Rochester Institute of Technology graduate. He is the 2007 and the 2012 All-Greater Rochester Coach of the Year awardee. Moreover, Coach John Maloney is a State University of New York at Albany graduate. He is also the former Skidmore College assistant coach. Coach Mark Rice who is with the Cardinals coaching staff since 2009 is an inductee into both the Rochester Chapter US Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the Penfield Hall of Fame.
